Planner
How long will the ride take?
Pick a route or type a distance, set the average speed you actually ride at, and the planner gives a riding time plus a break plan. It runs entirely in your browser.

What speed to type
Most people overestimate. On a city bike with a basket, 15 km/h over a whole ride is honest; on a touring bike with a tailwind and no stops, 22. The speed that matters is the average including every slow village street and every gate, not the number you saw on the display for a moment on the dike.
Breaks
We stop about every hour and a quarter for ten minutes, and for a proper sit-down after the halfway point on anything over 50 km. The planner uses the same rule of thumb. Water is the thing people forget on flat rides: there is no climb to remind you that you are working.
